Only recently, since 2017, the Isar Forum reopened to the public as a historical landmark of the Deutsche Museum in the heart of the City on the

Ludwigs Bridge.

The so-called Congress Hall on the Munich Ludwigsbrücke was built between 1928 and 1932 by the architect German Bestelmeyer as part of the Deutsches Museum, which opened in 1925. The building looks back on an exciting and volatile history that includes names by artists as Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix and The Bee Gees.

The venue couldn't be located in a more perfect place than on the bridge crossing the river Isar and next to the river banks; in walking distance to the hotels we have selected for you. The Isar river flows right through the center of Munich and draws people from all walks of life in summer; locals love to sunbathe, picnick, barbecue (in designated areas), and fish (with a license) here.

It’s a perfect spot to relax after a day of science and networking.

Munich's Isar River, which is fed rushing water by the Alps, is safe to bathe in and crystal clear.

The city has an excellent integrated public transport system, including underground (U-Bahn) and overground (S-Bahn) trains, trams and buses. The Altstadt (old city) is ideally explored on foot and we have chosen this particularly central venue to allow you to explore as unindependently as possible.

Hopping on a tram, or bicycle, the latter available at very low fee, is a refreshing and also the fastest and easy way of getting around to enjoy the sights, remarkable museums, coffee houses, beergardens, restaurants, and shops.
